The Team



Laura Denham-Jones
has been practicing yoga and running since the 1980s, has now completed 6 marathons and regularly trains with Clapham Runners.  Since 2003 Laura has taught Yoga for Runners classes and workshops at London's Triyoga as well as privately.  She has contributed to many publications, including Runners' World, Health & Fitness, Zest and Yoga Magazine as well as receiving coverage in London's Evening Standard.  Laura is a fully qualified Yoga Instructor, Member of Yoga Alliance and REPS (Register of Exercise Professional) Level 3, and is a certified Body Arts and Science Pilates Mat Work teacher.


Tracey Slade
is an althlete and teacher with a wealth of experience in health and fitness.  As well as being qualified to teach Pilates, she holds a diploma in Sports Therapy and qualifications and experience including Advanced Fitness Instruction, Massage, Management of Sports Injuries, and Sports & Fitness therapy techniques.  Tracey
has won BUSA medals in cycling while at Bournemouth University and age group gold medals at the 2003 British Indoor Rowing Championships and the World Long Course Triathlon Championships. 


Anisha Badri
is a qualified Yoga and Pilates instructor, member of Yoga Alliance and REPS Level 3. 
Anisha has trained with some of the world's most respected teachers, as well as studying the Lotte Berk Method, a system popular with classical and ballet dancers. Anisha began practicing yoga as a child in her native India and now has over 8 years experience teaching in London, the US and New Zealand -- privately, in health club, yoga centres and personal training studios.



Cheryl Spain
has an impressive combination of experience in traditional fitness as well as holistic disciplines.  Cheryl is a runner,  Personal Trainer (REPS Level 3), yoga teacher and holistic masseuse.  She is also experienced in nutrition, NLP and hypnotherapy, meditation and Reiki.  Cheryl brings her motivation, passion, versatility and wealth of knowledge to a range of private clients in central London.


Carl Faure
found yoga after many years of working in the music business, completing his Yoga Alliance vinyasa yoga teacher training in the US. 
Carl's other areas of study include NLP, Life Coaching, Meridian Psychotherapy and Kinesiology. Carl is currently developing M Yoga, designed with men's strengths and restrictions in mind, typically addressing issues such as tight hamstrings, stiff hips and psychological tendencies such as competitiveness and pushing the body beyond its natural edge.  A typical session would involve a good upper body workout and core strength whilst simultaneously encouraging compassion and awareness of the body. 



Martina Sevcikova
qualified to teach yoga with Dr. Elena Voyce and is a Yoga Alliance certified teacher and REPS Level 3 member.  She also recently completed an intensive training with Yoga and Martial Arts Master, Duncan Wong.  Martina's father, a top competitive runner, has provided inspiration in her pursuit of yoga, nutrition, holistic healing, health and fitness and personal development.  Martina teachers group classes and private clients throughout London.



Phillipa Peak
was inspired to pursue yoga after it helped her overcome a back problem.  Phillipa has trained with some of the yoga world's top teaches.  She qualified in Dynamic Yoga with Godfrey Devereux, Yin yoga, a system which focuses on the connective tissue of the body in a more restorative way with Sarah Powers and Paul Grilley, and Shadow Yoga with Shandor Remete, a form which shares therapeutic aspects with qui gong and martial arts.  Phillipa is also a trained actress and has worked with many clients from the acting industry. 



Tatiana Mercier
trained to teach yoga at London's highly regarded Life Centre. Tatiana's other areas of study include Yoga Therapy, Biomedicine, Naturopathic Nutrition and Dietetics, and she also holds a certificate in Naturopathic Nutrition and Dietetics from the European College of Holistic Naturopathy in Paris.
Her life-long sports background includes gymnastics, basket ball, athletics, running, swimming and cycling.


Loren Barclay
studied Pilates as part of her training as a professional dancer at Laban Centre, London, and used the method remedially to bring her back to full health after injury. She now uses her extensive knowledge in Pilates, Dance, Yoga and fitness to teach a variety of popular classes across London; both privately and in group sessions, including a specialized Pilates for Runners workshop in the city.  She has extensive understanding of Pilates and the human body which enables her to treat every client individually and tailor a programme unique to their needs.
Loren is also qualified in yoga through Freestyle Fitness Yoga.


Stephen Power
is an experienced runner, competing for his running club Queens Park Harriers since he was 6 years old and still trains several times a week as well as additional weight training and gym work.  He has certificates in teaching Health & Fitness, Advanced Exercise and Fitness knowledge and a Level 3 Certification in Pilates mat work.  Stephen teaches groups and private clients throughout London.
 
Catherine Robertson-Glasgow
is a Yoga Alliance certified Ashtanga Yoga teacher and massage therapist as well as being a well qualified fitness instructor in spinning, body pump and stretching.  She also acted as Rider Representative for the California AIDs ride, a 1000km cycling event to raise funds for HIV/AIDs charities.  Catherine has taught in numerous gyms and yoga centres in Melbourne, Australia and has also taught the Mysore-style Ashtanga class at the Yoga Place in London. 


Leigh-Anne Lawson
holds a Bachelors degree in Human Movement Science and is trained in the Peak Pilates system.  Leigh came to Pilates after dancing for the Cape Town City ballet and now teaches Pilates mat work and session with Pilates reformer equipment.  Leigh has taught group classes in London, as well as working in conjunction with physiotherapists providing one-to-one sessions with patients to help them enjoy a pain free life.
